  • What qualifications will my tutor have?
  • What is the minimum number of lessons I can book?
  • What time do lessons take place?
  • What if my level is very low?
  • What if my level is very advanced?
  • Why is a tutor better than a teach-yourself study platform?
  • All lessons are taught by the tutors who also teach in our schools. So, your tutor will be one of the faculty tutors who also teach in-person courses. All teachers hold a teaching qualification and a university qualification. Once you begin your lessons, you can request the same tutor for each of your lessons if you wish.

  • The minimum number of lessons you can book is one lesson (one hour). If you are unsure of the number of lessons you might need, we recommend that you book a taster session of two lessons. This will give you a very good idea of what you can achieve in a one hour lesson. Each student learns at a different pace. Our tutors are trained to set a challenging pace for each learner, whilst offering guidance and support. This leads to fast progress and concrete results.

  • You can choose the time of day and the day of the week which is most convenient to you. This can be any time from 0900 to 1800 GMT from Monday to Saturday. This flexible format allows you to fit lessons around your working day or your school day. The times of the lessons can vary from week to week.

  • We teach all level abilities including complete beginners. Before your first lesson, the tutor will set up a 15 minute zoom meeting with you and they will use this meeting to assess your level and plan the content of your lessons. The teacher will guide you through your first steps in the language and you will make progress, even in your first two hours.

  • Our tutors are trained to teach learners of all levels, including very high levels. We are experienced in teaching students who need to take very competitive academic exams or who need to operate at a very high professional level. Our advanced level students are looking for a faultless performance in their language, both spoken and written. At advanced level, the student is looking to perform to an exceptionally high standard either professionally or academically in a second language. We can help these students to master the nuances of the language.

  • Language learning takes time to perfect. If you need to be able to communicate at a basic level, improve your vocabulary and interact with others, most methods will serve your purpose. However, if you need to develop the content and style of your spoken or written language, if you want to be able to collaborate or integrate with others at native-speaker level you will need a tutor who guides you and corrects you.
